Martin County VINE Is Now IVSS
Texas replaced county VINE with Texas IVSS-Counties on September 1, 2025. “VINELink” remains a common search phrase, but it is no longer the correct live county portal name. The Texas Office of the Attorney General says existing VINE registrations migrated. On first login, returning users are prompted to update a password and should review contact and notice preferences. Calls and texts now come from a different provider.
The service is free and may receive county jail and court events. The state lists booking, release, transfer to TDCJ, escape, death, and court-event changes among the possible notices. Not every Texas county is set up. Martin County participation must be checked in the live portal rather than assumed. A person who appears on the Martin County Jail’s current roster may still need a separate IVSS search, and a person missing from the roster is not automatically released.
Search One Martin County Inmate
The search is for a named person, not a complete release list. Open the county portal and use the offender or custody search presented by the current interface. Portal labels can change, so follow the live fields. Search can be available without creating an account. Registration is needed when the user wants future notices and preference controls.

Martin County IVSS Release Fields
IVSS fields are dynamic and depend on the county interface and event. The core record ties a person or case to custody status and a notice history. A “release” can mean an event reported by the participating jail, but the destination still matters. Transfer to TDCJ, another county, ICE, or another custodian is not the same as release into the community.

Martin County’s Kologik page is labeled Current Inmate Roster. Its public history mode was disabled when researched, so it does not supply a reliable archive of prior releases. IVSS can add an event signal when Martin participates, but the sheriff’s release or transfer record remains the direct source.
Set Martin County Release Alerts
After finding the right record, create or sign in to an IVSS-Counties account and attach that person or case. The current system supports call, text, and email notices. Users can choose preferred hours, set blackout dates, pause alerts, revise contact details, and inspect notification history. Complete every password, contact, and verification prompt shown by the portal.

Current official instructions focus on accounts, passwords, verified contacts, and preferences. Older Texas VINE material described an eight-digit telephone PIN and sometimes required a new registration after each arrest. Do not use that legacy PIN as a current step unless the live portal itself asks for it.
Martin County Notification Support
The Office of the Attorney General lists 866-268-8959 as current IVSS-Counties support, available around the clock in English and Spanish. A separate official TDCJ FAQ lists 866-393-5445 for county help. Because the two official sources differ, start with the current OAG program number and use the portal’s own support details if they have changed.
Notifications are informational. Delivery can fail, arrive late, or reflect only the event sent by the connected custodian. The OAG warns that the service is not a guarantee of safety. Keep useful notice history, but contact the Martin County Sheriff for the underlying release or transfer event and consult the combined County and District Clerk when the court disposition matters.

Martin County and TDCJ Alerts
County and state notification are separate. Use IVSS-Counties for a participating county jail or county case. Use the TDCJ Integrated Victim Services System for a person in a Texas prison, state jail, or under TDCJ Parole Division supervision. State notices can include release to supervision, discharge, parole review, and warrant actions.
If a Martin County detainee transfers into TDCJ, check the state portal registration and preferences rather than assuming the county registration covers every later state event. The TDCJ offender search is also useful for status, projected release, parole review, and scheduled release information, but TDCJ warns that online data update on working days and are at least 24 hours old.
A state parole record proves a different event than a county release. Release to parole or mandatory supervision means the person left physical state confinement under conditions during the sentence. Discharge marks the sentence endpoint. Neither status supplies the Martin County Jail release time for a jail-only booking.
Martin County VINE Check Limits
IVSS-Counties and TDCJ IVSS do not cover federal Bureau of Prisons custody. For a federal person, use the official BOP inmate locator, which can show a release date and location. A past date or “RELEASED” means no longer in BOP custody. It does not rule out supervised release or another custodian. ICE has a separate locator with limited recent-release visibility, while the U.S. Marshals Service has no comparable public released-person locator.
The Texas Public Sex Offender Registry is also separate. It covers only people who must register under state law. A registry match may support community registration, but it is not a broad release list and does not provide the jail release timestamp. A miss proves neither custody nor release.
Data lag matters most when plans depend on a same-day event. Call the holding facility before travel or pickup. If the person vanished from the current Martin roster, request the sheriff release or transfer fields and inspect the court docket. If a state transfer is possible, check TDCJ. Each source answers one part of the custody chain.
Read Martin County Release Events
A useful check asks four questions: which person, which custodian, what event occurred, and where custody went next. A release alert without a destination may represent bond, time served, dismissal-related release, probation, or a transfer. The county court judgment can explain the legal result but may not show the exact gate time. The sheriff event can show the custody timestamp but may not resolve the final case outcome.
For the strongest Martin County confirmation, preserve the IVSS event, request the sheriff record, and reconcile the county court case. Use TDCJ only when state custody or supervision is involved. Switch to BOP or ICE only when facts support federal or immigration custody. This source-by-source method prevents a live-roster absence, an alert, and actual community release from being treated as interchangeable facts.
